What to Expect

When you Visit

Here’s what you can expect

We understand that visiting a new church for the first time can be somewhat intimidating. That’s why we do our best to create the most welcoming and casual environment possible.

What makes The Bridge unique?

The Bridge is a non-denominational church dedicated to inspiring individuals and families in their relationship with Christ. Our vision is for you to experience the transforming power of God to make a difference in your world. We hope you enjoy our modern expression of worship, relevant Biblical messages, and a positive atmosphere where everyone is welcome, especially those without a church home. We are excited to be a part of what God is doing in Nassau County and how He is using this community to impact the nations for Christ!

What will the service be like?

When you walk in, you will notice two things: A welcoming environment and the smell of coffee. (And probably some pretty good music…)

Our services usually begin with a time of praise and worship where you are invited to join in if you’d like. Occasionally we’ll often take a “Halftime” to get a cup of coffee or some pastries and say hello to each other. After that, one of our ministers will share from the Word of God.

We love creativity and media, so it’s not uncommon to see video clips or dramas as a part of the service! There is always lots of variety so you’ll never be bored.

What should I wear to The Bridge?

Definitely clothes. Ok, you probably already guessed that. We come from all walks of life at The Bridge and truly mean it when we say “come as you are!” You’ll probably catch us in anything from jeans and flip flops to suit and tie. So come casual – you’ll feel right at home!

Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor?

At The Bridge, you’ll never be put on the spot, never feel forced to give money and never embarrased. We consider newcomers our guests so we do our best to treat you like one. You are not required to sign up or register your attendance (unless you place your child in our children’s ministry – and then only for your child’s security.)

Where do my kids and middle school students go during the service?

Our children’s ministry provides an exciting experience for all ages – from birth through 5th grade. Please register your children at the PowerHouse Kids Desk when dropping them off. For your child’s safety, your children will not be dismissed from their classrooms until you personally pick them back up after the service.

Our youth ministry also has a special service just for Middle School students following the corporate worship. Your student is welcome to join when they dismiss from the main service.

Do you serve communion?

The sacrament of communion is servedonce a month and on special Sundays.

Do you perform baby dedications?

Yes! It is our very special honor to pray a blessing over your little one. You simply need to contact us at the church office. Your family is invited to stand with you for the dedication of your baby or young child if you desire.

Can I get married at The Bridge?

We understand that weddings are sacred occasions, and we are always pleased to be a part of any wedding in which a couple stands at the altar of God and promises to commit to each other. You may contact our church office for details about our wedding policy and sanctuary availability.

I need to speak with someone, how do i get counseling?

We believe Jesus is the only answer to any problems we may face, and that He has given His Holy Spirit and His Word to help us along the way. Please contact us to schedule counseling. Your request for counseling will be kept confidential.

I have more questions…

Of course you do! Please feel free to contact us at any time and we’d love to answer your questions.
